GARMENT DYE
Garments dyed and washed after assembly undergo a process that relaxes fibers and produces an exceptionally soft hand from the first wear, while also often pre-shrinking the piece in hot dye baths so it will exhibit minimal further shrinkage.
Because color is applied to the finished garment, hues can be slightly uneven—typically deeper along seams, hems, and other stress points—yielding a desirable worn-in or vintage aesthetic and ensuring trims such as thread, and labels generally take on the same tone for a cohesive, finished appearance.
The result is a range of individual variations—no two pieces are identical—which contributes to an artisanal, couture-like character.
